Modeling Driver Characteristics
As part of a contract with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to publish the findings of the Exploratory Advanced Research (EAR) Program, and expand awareness of the program, Woodward created a series of two-sided fact sheets.
These documents, describing projects awarded under the EAR Program, involved an initial review of the statement of work for each project, and interviews with the technical experts in each project.
“Modeling Driver Characteristics” is an Exploratory Advanced Research (EAR) Program project, awarded to Virginia Tech University, that aims to characterize driver behavior using naturalistic driving data and agent-based modeling techniques.
